Don't like guns? Don't use one!
Don't like pot? Don't use it!
Don't like gay marriage? Don't have one!
Don't like violent video games? Don't play them!
Don't like junk food? Don't eat it!
Don't like porn? Don't view it!
Don't like prostitutes? Don't procure one!
Don't like raw milk? Don't drink it!
Don't like something? Don't do it. But don't prevent others from doing it!
That's called freedom!
What part of that don't you understand?

A gun is a machine designed for destroying life. I think in an organized society the people should be able to decide who gets to use those machines and with what kind of qualification. Do you think people should be able to drive without a driver’s license and obeying traffic laws should be voluntary?

Funny thing: speed limits actually do very limited to actually reduce traffic accidents.

That is true, but what has that to do with gun violense? You know what actually reduces traffic accidents? Having to get training before you can drive a car.

That's along the lines of "Don't like murder? Then don't commit them!"

After all, isn't 'the right to life' against the law of nature? People die all the time, despite the Declaration of human rights.

It's not that people die, it's that they are killed that is the problem. People have a right to live as long as they naturally can without being killed. That seems to be the point.

Sure, but why is there an innate difference between a person causing the natural death of another person and, say, them falling off a cliff or dying of old age? In both cases it's ultimately nature that kills us all.
Besides, if a person is murdered, no amount of rights can bring them back to life, so it's effectively pointless from the point of view of the individual (though obviously the perpetrator could still be executed/imprisoned for life, no punishment will undo the damage).

Oh, that one's simple. One was caused through happenstance; the other, by a sentient human being who should know better. Major difference.
